Stage! I really like being on stage! Nothing stops me on stage! The bigger the audience, the more exciting it is for me!
I’ve been on stage since I was young. While I was in primary school, I took part in speech contests in Mandarin, English and Malay. When I was in secondary school, I continued with the speech contests, and also joined school debates, even getting into the semi-final for the whole of Perak. During my time at secondary school and university, I was always the emcee for school activities, such as gatherings, contests, festivals, charity events, etc.
I graduated from Taiwan Fu Jen University with a degree in Mass Communication. Because of the culture there, and because I always mixed around with Taiwanese, I can speak Mandarin very well. I was born in Ipoh, and we speak Cantonese all the time at home – so my Cantonese is good too. Besides Mandarin and Cantonese, I was from a Malay school, making Malay my third language. . Since graduating from Taiwan and returning to Malaysia to work, my English has improved – English plays a very important role here and I’ve been learning with a professional English teacher and have joined International Toastmasters to polish my spoken English. I’m active in Toastmasters, and this has helped me develop strong body language, gestures and tone, enabling me to host events with confidence .
I have been in the emcee line for more than 10 years and have hosted more than a hundred events, such as wedding dinners, annual dinners, gala nights, opening ceremonies, press conferences, contests, road shows etc.
I was born to be on stage. I’m passionate, energetic and professional.
